Thank You for showing me Your ways

Dearest Father God,  today I turn my heart and mind toward You, thanking You for Your goodness and faithfulness in my life. I bless You today because You are worthy. I hold Your truth close to my heart so that I can always be pleasing to You. Today I humbly come to You with an open and willing heart. Search me. Know me. Show me if there is any unforgiveness in my life or anything that would displease You. Thank You for showing me Your ways so that I can walk with You in peace all the days of my life.

Father, thank You for forgiving me. Thank You for the power of the life-giving Holy Spirit that has freed me from the power of sin, guilt and shame. I love Your word. I love serving You. But in all my haste, I must confess, I often forget to love You. I haven’t spent the time in Your presence. I haven’t taken enough time to worship You. Forgive me Lord. Today may I begin to worship You and love spending time in Your presence. Keep me from being jealous of others who may be more successful or may have more than I do. Make me thankful for all that You have given me so others may see Christ in me.  Help me to realize what abilities You have given me and may I rejoice in them. May I be known today as a person that is committed to You in all that I do and in all that I say.

Thanks you for being our “merciful father”. We remember our parents for their sacrifice in their life. Reward them for all the strength, love, wisdom, and correction that they have given us. Encourage them that their labor has not been in vain, and that you honor their efforts in partnering with you to raise us. Today we renew our commitment to live our lives in ways that honor you. May people see you through our lives.  Lord, thank you for your Word, for the manifold ways it teaches us, corrects us, comforts us, and inspires us. What a joy and privilege to spend time thinking and praying in response to the Scripture. Help us to see Jesus more clearly and truly. Help us to love him more dearly and deeply. Help us to follow him more nearly and faithfully. Thank you for never leaving us, and always teaching us with love and intentionality. We pray that we would be the living epistles of the lessons that you have taught us. O Lord, may we come to see our whole lives, including our daily work, as part of what it means to follow Jesus. In Jesus’ mighty name I pray, Amen
