If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt. James 1:5-6 (NIV)
Dearest loving Abba Father, I trust that You are willing and able to make a way where there seems to be no way in my life. Fill me with Your peace and faith and give me a vision for all You have for me. Thank You for Your love which never fails. Thank You for filling me and setting me free to love others. Empower me, by Your Spirit, to walk in love no matter what I may face today. Thank You for Your faithfulness to me. Thank You for giving me strength during the difficult times. I trust that You are with me today, and I choose to focus on the victory You have in store. Thank You for forgiving me and giving me new life. I choose today to extend the gift of forgiveness to others. I bless those who have wronged me and ask You to heal every broken place in my life.
Abba Father, I know that there are so many times that I give you lip service only. I talk the talk but neglect to walk the walk. Forgive me for my hypocrisy. Holy Spirit, help me live as Jesus lived, in Spirit and in truth. Oh Father, search me, O God, and know my heart. Point out anything in me that offends you Lord, and help me repent. Forgive me I pray. Help me to care for others enough that I might be willing to carry their burdens when I have an opportunity. Thank You for carrying the burden for my sin all the way to the cross. Thank You that I can bring all my burdens and cares to You. Thank You that Your Word gives me the assurance that You are with me through every trial I face. Help me not to be fearful when a trial comes my way but encourage me to give that trial completely to You.
Dear Lord Jesus, my Good Shepherd, I thank you today for your compassion. Thank you for looking upon me with a tender and passionate heart. Thank you, Lord, for feeding me with your truth. I need the guidance that comes from your Word. How grateful I am for the Scripture you have given! Today I praise you for being, not just a human Messiah, but also the Word of God made flesh. You are the Lord, the promised good shepherd. All praise be to you, Lord Jesus! Father, thank You for sacrificing Jesus on the cross so I could be forgiven and cleansed from all my sin. Thank You for allowing me to come right into Your presence with a sincere heart fully trusting You! Through the grace of Jesus Christ, the High Priest, who is interceding for me before you, I pray. Amen
