GOD IS our Refuge and Strength [mighty and impenetrable to temptation], a very present and well-proved help in trouble. Psalms 46:1 AMPC
Dearest loving Father, thank You for Your Word which fills my heart with faith. I believe that You are good and You are a rewarder of those who seek after You. I seek You today. I acknowledge You and thank You for revealing Yourself to me. Today I choose to abide in You. You are my source, my strength, my power for life. Keep me close to You and show me Your ways. Thank You for being my rock and redeemer. Please help keep me from sin and may the meditation of my heart and the words of my mouth be pleasing to You.
Dear Father, I come to You today asking for Your mercy in my life. I thank You for hearing my cry and offering me Your strength and shield. I accept this promise and put my all my trust in You. Thank You that I will not be disappointed. Fill my heart with a deep joy today so that I too will burst out with thanksgiving. My prayer today is that You may open my ears that I may hear Your voice of truth. Thank You for the assurance that I have that as a child of God I know my sins are forgiven and that You are preparing a home for me in heaven. Help my words and actions today to show others the hope that I have because I know that I am a child of God. LORD God, we are grateful that you see us, that you hear us, and that you know us. We confess that we often ignore you in the middle of our troubles. We live in a culture that expects us to be in perfect all the time. Forgive us for believing our own illusions.
Thank you for reminding us that you are a “very present and well proved help in trouble.” So, we humble ourselves to acknowledge and turn to you in all of circumstances, however desperate. Thank you that you always hear us in Christ. Thank you that you always see us in Christ. And, it is in His name that we turn to you. Thank you that you know us in Christ. All praise and hone belongs to You, Lord. For the magnificent works of Your hands. You have made such beauty, and You have loved us enough to share it. Thank You, Father. In the Sweet and mighty name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen
My Son took upon Himself all your sicknesses and diseases. God promises His Son can see us through our trials
When evening had come, they brought to Him many who were demon-possessed. And He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying: “He Himself took our infirmities And bore our sicknesses.” – (Matthew 8:16-17)
We need to learn to know Him so well that we feel safe when we have left our difficulties with Him. To know in that way is a prerequisite of all true prayer.
