My soul finds rest in God alone; my salvation comes from him. Psalms 62:1
Dearest loving Abba Yahweh, today I choose to put my trust in You. I know that You are a good and faithful God, and I trust that You have my best interest at heart. Help me stay focused on Your goodness today. I come to You today with an open and humble heart. I give You my concerns and worries and ask You to fill me with Your peace and confidence today. Thank You for sending Your Son, Jesus, to show me the way. I receive Your truth and commit my heart to You. I invite You into every area of my being and choose to follow You all the days of my life. Thank You for Your blessings and benefits in my life. I choose to focus on Your goodness and believe You have so much more in store for me. I honor You today in all that I do.
Abba Father, I am so guilty of judging others. I have been forgiven so much by You and yet I confess that I so quickly forget Your mercy and show no grace to someone else. I judge with my thoughts. I judge with my mouth. I judge with my actions. Please forgive me. Help me today, not to judge, but to choose the better way, the way of love and forgiveness. I am faced with so many opportunities for fear and discouragement and yet You have commanded me to be strong and courageous. Help me, Lord, trust and obey You. Help me not to get weary from doing good. Help me to do Your will in Your power and Your love. Thank You that You have saved me by your grace. Help me to learn by the experiences that we read in Your Word as to how to share our faith with those who do not know You. Give me the strength and courage today to lead my family to a closer relationship with you knowing that we need to begin in our home to serve You daily.
Loving Lord, do not let me become spoiled and conceited. I want to share my life and to share the lives of others. Help me to know others better, and in so doing, know You better, too. Lord, I admit that, there are times when your truth disturbs me, when it unsettles me. But there is something in me that nevertheless is drawn to your truth. Thank you, Lord, for the part of me that yearns for your word. Thank you for your Spirit who stirs up my desire for your righteousness. Help me, Lord, always to hear your word gladly, even and especially when it challenges me in my discipleship. Father, help me to remember all You have done for me. Help me read Your word and plant it deep into my heart so it will guide me as I go through my day. Through the grace of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen.
