When he came to his senses, he said, ‘How many of my father’s hired men have food to spare, and here I am starving to death! I will set out and go back to my father and say to him: Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son; make me like one of your hired men.’ So he got up and went to his father. Luke 15:17-20 (NIV)
Gracious loving Father, I humbly come before You. I choose to be still before You. Speak to my heart so I can know You more. Fill me with Your peace as I put my trust in You. Lord, thank You for loving me and for caring about the things that concern me. I choose to give You every hurt, pain and sorrow, knowing that You will make all things new in Your time. Take my life and use it to Your will, Father. If I can be the instrument that leads someone to You, then don’t hesitate to bring me into service. Let me give to others a portion of what You have given to me.
Dear Lord, my sin has me baffled. I need You to free me from this bondage of sin in my life. Come Jesus, forgive me and help me live the life You have called me to. Father, I need a new start. I ask, dear Lord, that You use that same power that You used to raise Jesus from the dead to help me live a new life. I surrender to You and ask for Your help today. Thank You, dear Lord that You loved us so much that You were willing to die for us. Thank You that because You love us we should not ever feel worthless. Give us a victorious attitude in all that we do knowing you created us and are with us guiding us over every mountain and through every valley
Lord, thank you for establishing covenants that shape our relationship with you. Thank you for making commitments that you will keep with us, even as you ask us to do the same with you. Lord, in our life, may we live covenantally. May our relationships with those we lead be based on a deep commitment to their well-being. Keep us from seeing people as cogs in a machine. Rather, may we honor them in their sacredness and uniqueness. Thank you, most of all, for the New Covenant you have forged with us through Jesus Christ. We ask this in the matchless name of Jesus Christ, Amen
I will not abandon My own inheritance. God Promises He Will Not Abandon His People
For the Lord will not cast off His people, Nor will He forsake His inheritance. – (Psalm 94:14)
