This I declare about the LORD: He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; He is my God, and I trust him. Psalms 91:2
Dearest loving Father in Heaven, today I choose to magnify and exalt You. Today I set my heart and mind on You knowing that You are good and faithful. I trust that as I seek You and put You first, You will direct my steps. I choose to remain in You and follow Your leading in everything I do. Help me to keep my heart and mind focused on You all the days of my life. I come to You with an open and humble heart. I surrender every area of my life to You. Mold me into Your image and keep me hidden in You. Thank You for cleansing me and making me new. Thank You for making me the righteousness of God in Christ. Help me to fully understand this so I can walk in the fullness of the blessing You have prepared for me. I bless You and praise You today and always.
Abba Father, Creator of everything in heaven and on earth, I pray that today, from your glorious, unlimited resources, You would empower me with inner strength through Your Spirit. Lord, I give myself to You. I want to know You in all of Your fullness. Help me worship You in new and fresh ways. Enlarge my capacity to know you, that I might love you more and more. Help our family to put our complete trust in You. Help us realize that the lack of trust in You drives us to worry. May our lives be an example to others who are facing situations that are overwhelming them with worry. Keep us alert to help those people in their time of need.
May our lives not be formed primarily by the demands of our work, the expectations of our culture, or the urgings of our feelings. Rather, may our lives be formed by you, by your example, by your truth. Speak, Lord, for your servant is listening. Show me the wonders of Your creation. Let me take nothing for granted. Indeed, Lord, make all things new in my eyes. Sometimes I wonder if I’m going to make it, God. Thank you for believing in me. Thank you for being my greatest cheerleader. Give me courage, strength, and wisdom to stay in the race, until the very end. Father, I ask for You to flood my heart and my soul with Your peace. Today, may I sense You love and presence and rest myself in You. I thank You that I am valued and loved. Thank You that I do not have to earn it. Help me today to really get my thoughts around Your unconditional love for me. In the marvelous name of our savior and Lord Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen
I will protect and carry you all the days of your life. God promises He will carry us through trials
Even to your old age, I am He, and even to gray hairs I will carry you I have made, and I will bear; Even I will carry, and will deliver you. – (Isaiah 46:4)
The Bible does say, “My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations.” Preaching, music, the reading of the Word–these things are fine–but they must never override prayer as the defining mark of God’s dwelling.
