Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as braided hair and the wearing of gold jewelry and fine clothes. Instead, it should be that of your inner self. I Peter 3:4 (NIV)
My Dearest loving Father, today I surrender every area of my life to Your resurrection power. I want to be born again into a new life with You! Help me to let go of my old ways and embrace the life You have for me! Thank You for sending Your Son so that I might have life in You! Thank You for equipping me. Thank You for empowering me. Help me stay focused on Your Word and Your plan for me today. I trust that You have equipped me and called me for Your purpose. Use me for Your glory and show me how to be a vessel of hope to those who are around me today. Thank You for choosing to bless me. Thank You for opening the windows of heaven in my life. I choose to be obedient to Your Word. I choose to be a giver. I choose to be a faithful steward of Your resources
Father, thank You for being there. Today, instead of fearing or leaning to my own understanding, I will put my trust in You. Thank You for leading me into a place of rest. Today I surrender my brokenness to You and open my heart to receive Your healing. Restore my soul. You know how often I am weary and heavy burdened. You promised if I came to You that You would give me the rest I need. I come Lord Jesus, I come to You with all my burdens. Please give me rest to my soul. Help me love with Your love. Help me see others with Your eyes. Help me be filled with Your compassion, guided by Your Holy Spirit, used as an instrument of Your peace.
Father, I am driven to perform, but You are driven to love. Thank You that Your love wins. I surrender my need to perform for You and accept Your amazing love and forgiveness. Thank You for loving me. Today I ask You to forgive me for my sins and for the times I have failed You. Help me to learn afresh to forgive those that sin against me just as You forgave me. Help me to set an example for my family and friends as to what it means to forgive and give my family a spirit of forgiveness to all that have treated us unkindly. Thank You for teaching me to pray as You said: “Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever.” Through the grace of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen.
I will rescue the godly from all their troubles. God Promises He can rescue us from destruction
Then the Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptations and to reserve the unjust under punishment for the day of judgment. – (2nd Peter 2:9)
The person who prays more in public than in private reveals that he is less interested in God’s approval than in human praise. Not piety but a reputation for piety is his concern.
