“Listen! We are here to proclaim that through this man Jesus there is forgiveness for your sins. Everyone who believes in him is declared right with God.” Acts 13:38-39 (NLT)
Dearest loving Father, today I choose to enter into rest. I choose to trust You, I choose to put my faith and hope in You knowing that You are good and that You have good things in store for my future. Lord, thank You for Your faithfulness. I believe that You are working behind the scenes even when I can’t see it. I choose to keep believing. I choose to look again until I see every promise fulfilled.
Dear God Almighty, forgive me for bragging about my own abilities. Forgive me for putting such a high importance on my own possessions and accomplishments. Instead, I praise You, dear Lord, and will boast about Your unfailing love for me. Father,, we thank You for inviting us into partnership with you, calling us to share in your work, even listening to our concerns and challenges. Thank you, Lord, that we can speak to you honestly, holding nothing back. Thank you for choosing us as your partners, so that we might share in your redemptive works. Help me, I pray, to trust you and to grow in my faith. When I laugh in unbelief, or, as is more likely, when I wake up in the night and can’t go back to sleep, I ask you to encourage me, so that I might trust you more.
Father, my heart is filled with gratitude. Thank You for my salvation. Thank You for forgiving me. Thank You for making me right with You. I am so grateful that You sent Your Son to this earth to pay the penalty for my sins. Thank You for the glory that is waiting for me in heaven. Help me to completely set apart my life to You so that all that I do and say will glorify Your name. All praise be to you, O God, because nothing is too hard for you! All praise be to you, O God, because nothing is too wonderful for you! I pray this in the powerful name of Jesus. Amen
I will shepherd My inheritance and carry them forever. God Promises He will shepherd and bear us up
Save Your people, and bless Your inheritance; Shepherd them also, and bear them up forever. – (Psalm 28:9)
After a hard day scrambling to find your way around in the world, it’s assuring to come home to a place you know. God can be equally familiar to you. With time you can learn where to go for nourishment, where to hide for protection , where to turn for guidance. Just as your earthly house is a place of refuge, so God’s house is a place of peace.
