“My dear children, I am writing this to you so that you will not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate who pleads our case before the Father. He is Jesus Christ, the one who is truly righteous. He himself is the sacrifice that atones for our sins—and not only our sins but the sins of all the world.” I John 2:1-2 (NLT)
Dearest loving Father, bring joy to me today. Truly, I can say with David, “You are forgiving and good, O Lord, abounding in love to all who call to you.” I lift my soul up to you and ask You to fill it with the joy only You can provide. Lord, I open my whole heart to You. I invite You to use me to be a blessing in the lives of others. Show me where to invest my time, talents and resources for Your glory. Thank You for the harvest that is coming back to me.
Lord, search my heart. Show me any area in my life where I may be hiding. I choose today to stand in faith and invite You to move mightily on my behalf. I thank You for Your amazing love, mercy and grace. I thank You that there is no condemnation to those that know You as Savior. I thank You for the forgiveness that You have extended to me. Help me to extend the same forgiveness to myself. You are the potter, Lord. I am the clay. Mold me by your grace so that I might be the person you intend me to be.
Lord, Thank you for your ability to redeem all things, to use all things for your purposes. Thank you for the ways you shape us to be like you. Thank you for the fact that you work through all things for good, even though things that are not what you would have chosen. Lord, help me to listen others with open ears and with a heart like yours. May I hear, not just words, but the voices of other people I encounter in my life. May I grow in understanding, empathy, and love for all of your people. Keep me sensitive to other people’s feelings as well, so that at all times I treat people equally and fairly. To you be all the glory. In Jesus’ name, I Pray, Amen
One day, you will see My face and My name will be on your forehead. God Promises We Will See the Face of Jesus
They shall see His face, and His name shall be on their foreheads. (Revelation 22:4)
The angel fetched Peter out of prison, but it was prayer that fetched the angel.
