“Thank God! Once you were slaves of sin, but now you wholeheartedly obey this teaching we have given you.” Romans 16:7 (NLT)
Dearest loving Father, thank You for this day and age I’m living in. I believe that You created me for such a time as this. By faith, I receive Your unprecedented favor as I serve You with my whole heart. Today I choose to reject negative thoughts. I choose to reject lies from the past. I break every stronghold through the power of Your Word and embrace Your truth which sets me free. Please help me Lord with the discipline I need to quietly spend time listening to you and reading your word. Help me even today to converse with you throughout the day. Help me to experience your presence.
Lord God, Author of Life and of all things visible and invisible, we acknowledge how blinded we are to all that you have given us, and how slow we are to give you the thanks that is due to you. Father, thank You that You have given me a heart to recognize You as Lord. Help me share my inner thoughts with You. Help me to know You and trust You and live my life in an intimate relationship with you. It is our prayer that You will make our family adequate to accomplish the things that You want us to accomplish while we are here on this earth.
Abba Father, I confess I get so wrapped up in my own life that I haven’t taken the time I should to consider the poor and needy. I worry about my own needs and do not feel the compassion I should for those in need. Please forgive me. Help me today to find something I can do. Guide me to someone who I can help. I want to be generous and willing to share with others in the way you have been so generous and loving to me. Take away our fear, pressure and frustrations that seem to overpower us when we face opportunities to serve and represent You to our friends and neighbors. We pray this in Jesus name, Amen.
My Word will not return to Me until it accomplishes what I intended. God Promises His Word Will Not Return Void
For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, And do not return there, but water the earth, and make it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it. – (Isaiah 55:10-11)
Prayer is not a hard requirement – it is the natural duty of a creature to its creator, the simplest homage that human need can pay to divine liberality.
