“Let us examine our ways and test them, and let us return to the LORD.” Lamentations 3:40 (NIV)
Dearest Abba, Father, thank You for Your goodness and faithfulness in my life. I trust that You are leading and guiding me. I trust that You are preparing me for all the wonderful blessings You have in store for me. Father, thank You for equipping me with everything I need to be a success in life. I choose to humbly submit my life to You and obey Your Word. Thank You for revealing Your plans and purposes for me today.
Abba Father, when we read the scripture that are disconcerting to us, things we don’t understand or things we understand but don’t like, help us to understand your Word correctly. By your Spirit, may we pay close attention to the text and its context. Help us to be accurate readers. And when we come upon things that we don’t like, help us not to reject your Word. Rather, teach us to dig deeper, to think, to pray, to converse with others, to wrestle with Scripture so that we might be changed by it.
Give us this day, dear Lord the wisdom to make choices to honor your name. Lord, there are so many suffering people in this world. Lead me to where they are, that I might give them something of myself, that together we may become the family You made us to be. We give you praise for choosing us and then allowing us to choose to follow you and then bear fruit for your sake. Help us to make the right decisions today for pour choice of friends, our choice of words and our actions. Protect my family and friend from harmful choices. Thank you for being our Lord and our Savior. Lord, thank you again for your salvation, for reaching out to us even when we were sinners. Thank you for your grace poured out through Jesus Christ. We ask this in the matchless name of Jesus Christ so that He be glorified through us, Amen
All of mankind can find protection in the shadow of My wings. God Promises He Will Protect, Shelter and Strengthen Us
How precious is Your lovingkindness, O God therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of Your wings. – (Psalm 36:7)
Prayer is the very way God Himself has chosen for us to express our conscious need of Him and our humble dependence on Him.
