So we have not stopped praying for you since we first heard about you. We ask God to give you complete knowledge of his will and to give you spiritual wisdom and understanding. Then the way you live will always honor and please the Lord, and your lives will produce every kind of good fruit. All the while, you will grow as you learn to know God better and better. Colossians 1:9-10 (NLT)
Dearest loving Abba Father, I humbly come to You, seeking rest for my heart and mind. I choose to be still before You. I choose to cast my cares on You. Speak to my heart so I can know You more. Fill me with Your peace as I put my trust in You. Lord, today I choose to put my trust in You, my light and salvation. Thank You for Your perfect love which casts out all fear. Thank You for Your Word which is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. I choose to hide Your Word in my heart. I choose to meditate on Your promises. I know that You are faithful to Your Word and thank You for rock-solid faith as I keep my heart and mind focused on.
Dear Father, thank You for Your love and kindness toward me. Thank You for creating me. It brings me deep joy to know that You delight in me and love me unconditionally. Lord, I want to believe with all my heart. I want to experience Your supernatural presence in my life. So, today, I choose hope. Today, I choose to put my faith in You. I cry out from the depth of my being, “I do believe, help me overcome my unbelief!” Thank You that You will indeed help my faith get stronger. Help me today to take the instruction I learn today, from reading Your Word and praying, and applying it to my walk and talk. Give me wisdom to express what Your Word tells me to my children and to those I meet today. May others learn from me today more about You and what You want from us as believers.
Abba Father, your Word is full of surprises, from beginning to end. Lord, how amazing to be included among those who invite others to come and drink the water of life. Help us, Lord, to live “inviting lives.” May we do so in ways that are respectful, appropriate, wise, and winsome. May our lives demonstrate your grace in such a way that people are drawn to you. Lord, make me an obedient child and a willing follower. Break my willful nature, and help me to see the wisdom of Your ways. In the marvelous name of our savior and Lord Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen
I will always build you up, not pull you down. God Promises He can rebuild what sin destroyed
For I will set My eyes on them for good, and I will bring them back to this land; I will build them and not pull them down, and I will plant them and not pluck them up. – (Jeremiah 24:6)
One great effect of prayer is that it enables the soul to command the body. By obedience I make my body submissive to my soul, but prayer puts my soul in command of my body.
