The LORD is close to the brokenhearted; He rescues those whose spirits are crushed. Psalms 34:18 (NLT)
Dearest Abba Father, thank You for loving and accepting me today. Today I desire to seek You with all my heart. I desire to know You, to love You and to live for You. Help me to this end I pray. I choose to do what is right and honor You with my attitude, words and actions. Holy Spirit, show me if there is any area that isn’t pleasing to You and help me live as an example of Your goodness all the days of my life. I thank You for Your Word which is refreshing water to my soul. I choose today to say what You say. I choose to meditate on Your Word. Keep me close to You always.
Thank You, Jesus, for paying the price that I could never pay and for being the mediator between God and me. Thank You for dying on the cross to save me from all my sins. Thank You for making it possible to come to God in prayer to make my requests known to God and to thank Him for the blessings He has given me. Father, I thank You that You can fulfill every good purpose of mine and every act prompted by my faith! What an exciting thought. Please help me understand what this really means in my life. Help me not to waste this precious life You have given me. Help me to live today for Your glory.
Who am I, Lord, that You take notice of me? I cannot believe that You love me the way You do. Though I don’t understand, I do accept Your gracious love, and I am thankful from the depths of my soul. Lord, I am so grateful for the promises you’ve given to us, especially that you are making all things new. Help me to take an active role in this present world, as your ambassador of reconciliation. Help me bring hope to this world, through the power of the Holy Spirit and for your glory. Through the grace of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen.
You can hold on to the hope that I will not change what I have promised. God Promises His Word Does Not Change
Thus God, determining to show more abundantly to the heirs of promise the immutability of His counsel, confirmed it by an oath, that by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we might have strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold of the hope set before us.(Hebrews 6:17-18)
The men who have done the most for God in this world have been early on their knees. He who fritters away the early morning, its opportunity and freshness, in other pursuits than seeking God will make poor headway seeking Him the rest of the day. If God is not first in our thoughts and efforts in the morning, He will be in the last place the remainder of the day.
