You love him even though you have never seen him. Though you do not see him now, you trust him; and you rejoice with a glorious, inexpressible joy. The reward for trusting him will be the salvation of your souls.– 1 Peter 1:8-9 (NLT)
Gracious Heavenly Father, thank You for loving me and choosing me. Today I surrender every area of my mind, will and emotions to You. I choose to dwell on Your goodness and faithfulness so that the good seeds You’ve planted in my life will take root, Lord. Thank You for giving me a new beginning and making me blameless in Your eyes. Search my heart today; show me if there is anything that would keep me from You. Keep me close to You and direct my steps down the good path You have prepared for me.
Help me, Lord, to keep my priorities straight. Keep Your hand on me so that I will not stray from putting You first in my life. Guide me to be a godly example for my family and to make it my priority to be there for them. Help me today to make it a priority to serve You by serving others. Prepare my heart to be willing to give up what I want to do in order to serve someone in their time of need. Lead me to that person today where I can be used of You.
Father, I want to be wise in practical, everyday ways. But, even more, I want to be wise in big ways, when faced with large decisions and difficult choices. I want my wisdom to be a reflection and expression of your wisdom. So, I pray, help me to fear you rightly: to honor you, respect you, revere you, submit to you, and humble myself before you. Keep me from all that would turn me away from you. As I seek you and fear you above all, grant me your wisdom. To you be all the glory. We ask this in the matchless name of Jesus Christ, Amen
Forgiveness and healing are among My many benefits. God promises He will bless and redeem us
Bless the Lord, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His holy name Bless the Lord, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases, Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies. (Psalm 103:1-4)
If man is man, and God is God, to live without prayer is not merely an awful thing; it is an infinitely foolish thing.
