For “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”~ Romans 10:13, NLT
Dearest Abba Father, thank You for Your gracious hand that is upon my life. I give You glory today for all You have done in my past, all that You are doing today, and all that You will do in my future. I love You and trust You in all things knowing that Your favor surrounds me like a shield.
Thank You for the example and illustrations You have given us in Your Word. Help me to learn from Your word so that my life will become a life that glorifies Your name. When trouble comes our way, may we set aside our desires and put our trust in You. As we worship You daily, may we worship You in Spirit and in truth. Lord, be with me when I am so low that I don’t even feel like eating or sleeping. Grant me peace and comfort in Your love, and if that is slow in coming, help me to learn all I can from my despair. My Lord, make me a lover of the truth. Make me careful of my thoughts, and the words I would speak, that I may not think selfishly and speak cruelly, but keep myself holy unto You.
Give me today a compassionate heart. May I be alert to others and their needs. Help my family to watch for ways to show compassion to others. Thank You Lord for the wonderful standard of compassion You have set for us to live by. Help me not to merely feel compassion but to be moved to action to show my compassion to others. Gracious Father, thank You for Your faithfulness in my life. Today, I choose to trust You with my past, present and future. Give me wisdom to discern the seasons of my life and teach me to embrace the new things You have in store for me. I pray this in Jesus’ name. Amen
Do not despise My discipline, for in time, I will heal your wounds. God Promises that He will heal the wounds of our discipline
Behold, happy is the man whom God corrects; Therefore do not despise the chastening of the Almighty. For He bruises, but He binds up; He wounds, but His hands make whole.-Job 5:17-18
If God sees that my spiritual life will be furthered by giving the things for which I ask, then He will give them, but that is not the end of prayer. The end of prayer is that I come to know God Himself.
