The one thing I ask of the LORD-the thing I seek most-is to live in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, delighting in the LORD’s perfections and meditating in his Temple.– Psalm 27:4 (NLT)
Dearest Abba Father, thank You for making me. Thank You for equipping me to fulfill my destiny. Today I choose to focus on what You’ve placed in my hand knowing that as I am faithful to You, You will direct my steps. I bless You and praise You for who You are.
Lord God, give me the power to control my mind and heart, that I may not be a slave to habits that may keep me from eternal love and blessedness. Thank You for Your hand of mercy upon my life. Today, I choose to bloom where I’m planted. I choose to trust You and honor You knowing that You are working behind the scenes for my good. I love You and bless You.
Abba, you know what’s best for us and you always do it. Help us to live out the life you have intended for us. In particular, when it comes to how we live our faith, may we not try to do it alone. Though actual human community can be quite messy sometimes, may we be committed to your people, your church. May we learn to work, play, rest, and worship in fellowship with our sisters and brothers in Christ.
Father, help me to count my blessings each day. Thank You for the way You have blessed my life and the lives of my family. Help me to be a blessing to others today. I ask You to give me a spirit of love and concern for all those around me today. Help me then to be observant to the needs of my neighbors so I can show friendship. May I have sympathy and compassion for others, and cherish thy tenderness and mercy as I hold it in my daily life. I pray in Your Son’s precious name. Amen
God gives wisdom and guides us
I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.” Psalms 32:8, KJV
I’d rather be able to pray than to be a great preacher; Jesus Christ never taught his disciples how to preach, but only how to pray.
