All who declare that Jesus is the Son of God have God living in them, and they live in God.– 1 John 4:15 (NLT)
Dearest Abba Father, how awesome You are! How great is Your love! Help me to receive Your love so that I may know You more. Abba Father, I bless You today. Thank You for Your goodness and faithfulness in my life. I receive, by faith, every gift You have for me. Open the eyes of my heart that I may see all the good things You have in store for me. Thank You for perfecting everything that concerns me as I daily cast my cares on You.
Gracious Father, if I am to-day without happiness, may I go in search of it. Help me to remember that the will You have given me to overcome evil with good I may use to overcome misery with happiness. Make me careful that I may not be trapped by selfishness as I look for joy. May I delight in the sweet sensations that are felt in having consideration for others, and may I make kindness a daily habit. Like Paul the Apostle, I want to run the good race and fight the good fight. Make me fit to be a member of Your team, Lord. Inspire me to prepare my spirit to meet all the challenges which might come my way.
Have mercy upon me, Lord. I apologize for all the times I have judged another person’s faith, when my own faith is in such need of help. Remove the enormous plank from my own eye, O God, that I might truly begin to see.
Rescue me from the craziness around me. Be my refuge when life gets too hectic. Lift me out of the race and grant me rest. All which we ask through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
I will give you a double portion of your inheritance in exchange for your shame. God Promises that He will remove our shame and give us joy.
Instead of your shame you shall have double honor, And instead of confusion they shall rejoice in their portion. Therefore in their land they shall possess double; Everlasting joy shall be theirs. (Isaiah 61:7)
Prayer is not monologue, but dialogue. God’s voice in response to mine is its most essential part.
